Zusammenfassung

The proposed project aims at the development of an innovative production process to manufacture large ring-shaped workpieces with wear resistant outer layers using radial-axial ring rolling. The new approach with respect to the compaction of powder offers an alternative to the usual HIP-process and at the same time breaks several of its restrictions, especially regarding component size, processing time and costs.
