Zusammenfassung
The Ca++ dependent protein Calcineurin (CN) controls one of the key signalling pathways in the activation of lymphocytes. In spite of the importance of the Ca++/CN/NFAT signalling pathway in the activation, differentiation and apoptosis of lymphocytes relatively little is known how immunoreceptor signals result in the activation of CN and NFAT factors. Neither it is known where CN and NFAT proteins are localized in cytosol, nor do we know whether and which intermediary molecules mediate the signalling transfer between immunoreceptors and CN.
