A new kind of solar heating system on the roof of a Bishkek power plant is being investigated theoretically and experimentally in an ongoing project to preheat the cold water of an open-circuit district heating net by the use of solar irradiance as well as heat of the ambient air, which is in summer predominantly warmer than the cold water.
