Zusammenfassung

The project intends to build up a scientific and general purposes. To an unprecedented extent, MEL makes use of the possibilities of the new electronic media by three innovations: (1) flexible linking between lexical content and media files of various kinds, as well as between related lexical items; (2) opening the lexicon to the collaborative active participation of users; (3) the combination of the lexica of two languages.
