Zusammenfassung

The objective is to investigate social networks in a spatial real-world context. The project starts with a survey which employs innovative snowball sampling concentrating on "contacts of contacts" and focuses on spatial information (homes, meeting points, joint travel). The resulting networks are analyzed. Automatic generation of such social networks is attempted in two ways: (i) by statistical network generation based on the survey; (ii) by agent-based behavioural modeling with emergent network properties.
