By combining behavioral economic and neurocognitive research paradigms, the project will investigate, in four related subprojects, the relations between societal institutions (e.g., private vs. state pension scheme), individual economical circumstances, and neurocognitive mechanisms affecting risk preference and investment behavior in German and American baby boomers.
