Polymer products with special bulk and surface functionalities are currently produced by injection moulding und subsequent surface processing within complex process chains by plasma treatment, etching or special coatings. The TOPAS-project aims at the combination of injection moulding to generate the shape of the part and surface functionalisation within one single processing step.
