Zusammenfassung

In the first project period, the dynamics of visual feature integration in the cat visual cortex, schizophrenic patients, and healthy young and older observers were investigated. In the current project period, this work will be continued by analyzing the causes of prolonged information processing in schizophrenic patients and elderly. Also the specifity of the masking paradigm will be determined by applying it to other clinical populations than schizophrenic patients such as patients with alcohol abuse and schizoaffective, unipolar depressive and bipolar patients.
