This project investigates the relation between new patterns of mobility and natural resource management in African savannah environments as a result of processes of globalisation, commoditization and rural impoverishment. The complex interrelation between mobility, networks, conflicts and institutions on the one hand and natural resources on the other hand will be researched in three different regions (Cameroon/ Nigeria, Tanzania/Kenya, Namibia/South Africa).
