Zusammenfassung

Four key locations with two examples each in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and the Russian Altai Mountains will be investigated in detail to estimate outburst mechanisms and processes under current regional environmental conditions. Measurements of topographical and sedimentological conditions of the dams, their stability and the hydro-meteorological dynamics of the lakes will be carried out by automatic stations during a period of two years considering the variability in different seasons.
