Eagle owls Bubo bubo predate on goshawk Accipiter gentilis and common buzzard Buteo buteo while goshawks are clearly dominant over common buzzards. Based on a long-term life history dataset as well as natural and behavioural experiments, the following three hypotheses will be tested: 1. Goshawks will take over buzzard territories. 2. Buzzard and gowhawk reproduction are negatively affected by predation by eagle owls and these effects are more pronounced in buzzards. 3.
