Current evolutionary research aims at linking genotypic with phenotypic variation to explain the origin of biological diversity and to elucidate the role of natural selection. This project aims at identifying regions with a footprint of natural selection in plant genomes, which are for example characterized by low diversity or strong haplotype structure.
