Zusammenfassung

The research program of the project is devoted to recent aspects of the AdS/CFT correspondence. This correspondence is one of the main topics of research in theoretical particle physics. It relates gauge field theories in Minkowski space to string theories in higher dimensional backgrounds. Its most remarkable property is its weak/strong coupling duality, which yields new tools for nonperturbative studies in a wide range of strongly coupled systems.
