It is planned to combine genetic (mtDNA and nucDNA) data and demographic data (infestation rates) to compare the local and macro-geographic population structures of two blood-feeding ecto-parasites, the wing mite Spinturnix bechsteini and the bat fly Basilia nana, to that of their host, the Bechstein's bat (Myotis bechsteinii).
