Zusammenfassung

The Caucasian region is one of the most important biodiversity hotspots worldwide. About 330 land mollusc species, of which approximately 75% are endemic, are known from this region (defined here as including the Russian part of the Caucasus, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan). It is planned to survey the land mollusc fauna of the Caucasian countries based on a catalogue of the material of the most important collections.
