On the winter pastures impacts of elevated stocking rates are already visible and lead to negative consequences regarding quality and productivity of pastures. However, currently there is no systematic assessment of the actual pasture condition which could locate signs of degradation spatially and thus could constitute the basis for an improvement of the situation.
