The new phase of the project will focus on a considerable extension of the earlier work. In general terms, the project is aimed at fundamental studies of intrinsic links between the stability of biomolecules (in most cases, metal-containing globular proteins), implying their global and local (active center) motifs, and functional activity (kinetics of electron transport, enzymatic activity, etc.), with special emphasis on the dualistic role of their conformational flexibility within the context of the above-mentioned aspects.
