Zusammenfassung
The main goal of the present project is to study the stability, thermodynamics and kinetics of long single- and double-stranded RNA and DNA molecules. The influence of the sequence heterogeneity, polymer flexibility, loop entropy, pulling forces and some other factors on the thermodynamics and kinetics of RNA and DNA is investigated. The methods of statistical thermodynamics and statistical mechanics will be used for analytical and numerical computations in the framework of this project.
