The endangered languages of Ethiopia Bayso (3500 speakers) and Haro (500 speakers) are spoken on the Gidiccho Island and in mainland villages of the Abbaya Lake. The team of anthropologists and linguists that has been set up for this project aims at creating and archiving a large textual corpus of audio- and video-recorded speech for each of the two languages.
