This project deals with the investigation of high energy cosmic rays, which is currently a hot topic both for astrophysics and high energy physics and which is one of the pillars of the new research area astroparticle physics, combining production and interactions of cosmic elementary particles with astrophysical and cosmological aspects, and being a test-bench for the standard model of elementary particle physics.
