Zusammenfassung

The goal of this project is to explore the aesthetics and the historiographic productivity of documentations of performance art captured on film and video. Drawing on concepts from art history, performance studies, media history, and film studies the planned monograph of the project will argue for new ways of understanding practices that focus on the creative processes involved in performance art and film.
