Zusammenfassung

Extremely bright, ultra short X-ray FEL flashes create unique opportunities to take high resolution snapshots of single non-periodic nanoscale objects and ultrafast electron dynamics. However, structure determination from the resulting coherent scattering images suffers from the loss of phase information. One aim of the project is to develop a novel imaging method for gas phase nanoparticles based on direct recording of the phase into the scattering pattern.
