Three-dimensional printing is already in the field, e.g. for manufacturing individualised dental implants or earmoulds. However, since its origin 25 years back, this thechnology suffers from the procedural drawback that only a limited number of parts can be produced at a time. The next step, the development of a highly effective continuous production line, is still missing.
