Zusammenfassung

The transport of micron-sized objects in microfluidic devices is usually achieved by advection in a moving fluid. Under geometric constraints, such as in dead ends, transport and positioning of such objects is difficult to achieve by fluid flow. Complex laborious approaches are available, like optical or magnetic tweezers which require addressing and manipulating each object individually.
