The project will exploit the capacity of DNA-origami bottom-up assembly to construct photoactive nanocrystal networks for studies of elementary processes involved in photosynthesis and related coherence phenomena at the nanoscale. The interdisciplinary research project aims at exploiting recent advances in DNA-nanotechnology, colloidal nanomaterial synthesis, single nanoparticle spectroscopy, and theory of related photophysical phenomena for rational design and actual reali-zation of hybrid nanocrystal architectures.
