Zusammenfassung
The fundament for a novel molecule based nanoelectronic logic device operated by light and/or an magnetic field will be laid based on a functional donor acceptor dyad composed of organic phenalenyl acceptor (9HP) and tunable phenothiazine donor (PT) moieties. The 9HP-molecule adsorbed on Co(111) is known to exhibit interfacial magnetoresistance exceeding 20% near room temperature. Optical addressing of the PT donor will initiate intramolecular electron transfer, which switches the PT-9HP-dyad from a charge balanced, low moment to a charge separated, high moment state.
