Zusammenfassung

In this Experiment! project, three-dimensional phononic quasicrystal lenses will be investigated which allow to focus, guide and amplify acoustic emission signals onto sensors in a broad range of bandwidth inside complex shaped machine and frame structures (e.g. car body, airplane fuselage, machine tool, robot). By three-dimensional phononic quasicrystal lenses it would become possible to detect distributed low power signals for new dimensions of structure and process monitoring and control purposes, and to develop new technologies like vibration shielding, vibration energy harvesting ...
