The project will develop biocompatible lithographic structuring techniques to establish cellfree biosynthetic nanofactories on a chip that exploit spatial organization, co-localization effects and high local concentrations of reactants for the production of biomolecular nanostructures made from RNA and proteins. Lithographic patterning will be used to organize biomolecular nanostructures on a chip and to direct the growth of larger assemblies of these.
