Working Utopias researches artist-run organizations to examine collaboration under conditions of highly individualized work. It thereby aims at re-examining modes of operation and subjectivities of artists with regard to their social rather than individual dimension. It also seeks to negotiate the potential of these organizing practices for developing utopian imaginaries based on solidarity that could become widely adopted by a broader audience of cultural workers.
