Mycology includes various aspects such as ethnomycology, food mycology, medical mycology, mycorrhizal symbiosis, taxonomy and ecology of fungi. It has been demonstrated that fungi represent the second largest organism group after the arthropods, totalizing about 1.5 million species worldwide.
