Development of novel therapeutic strategies of treating cancer and autoimmune diseases requires discovery of new drugs that allow efficient killing of damaged cells and spare normal tissue. In particular, a special interest is devoted to the development of natural products that can act specifically as anti-cancer drugs affecting selectively cancer cells such as TRAIL and a number of others.
