All multicellular organisms are associated with a host specific bacterial community. This close association is beneficial for both partners and forms a complex unit termed holobiont. Bacteriophages (bacterial viruses) are the most abundant and diverse entity in the world and are responsible to cause high mortalities in bacteria.
