Zusammenfassung

The international doctoral program in mathematics at Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, briefly TSU, is currently being established. Its rules and procedures are modelled on those at Göttingen University. Hence they are compatible with international standards and cotutelle agreements. The new international doctoral program involving 10 PhD students from Georgia removes the obstacles associated with extensive program requirements at TSU and allows to strengthen the already existing ties between the mathematics departments in Tbilisi and Göttingen.
