The nanomechanical properties of biological tissues can be measured in great detail with atomic force microscopy (AFM). Yet the challenge of making sense of this vast amount of image data remains to be met. Previous approaches towards analyzing the nanomechanics of biological specimens have relied on massive statistical data reduction over large areas and over multiple specimens.
