Zusammenfassung

During the last decade, European vineyards have been increasingly under threat of Esca, a devastating wood trunk disease caused by a fungal pathogen leading to the death of the infected plant. The lack of effective treatment of infected vines, especially in organic viticulture and the ban of toxic and polluting plant protectants, demands for novel eco-friendly plant-protection strategies and curing approaches.
