Diseases can be caused by genomic mutations and can affect men and women differently, but even with advanced methods using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) the underlying mechanisms of sexual dimorphisms are hard to study in vitro because of the huge number of genetic variations that exist between individuals anyway.
