Despite many calls for cultural competence training, mitigation oflanguage-related barriers in migrant health care remains largelyneglected in research, education and practice. The aim of thisinterdisciplinary project (Cultural Psychology, Public and GlobalMental Health, Intercultural Communication and Linguistics) is toinvestigate and develop improvements to communication between (mental)health care providers ((M)HCP) and migrants who experience mentaldisorders and do not (sufficiently) speak the languages of the healthcare professionals, ultimately enhancing the quality of mental healthcare....
