The aim of this Momentum concept is to promote an integrated history of 20th century Europe that overcomes Cold War divisions and takes violence as a common European experience. Currently Eastern European history remains underrepresented in most history curricula. The collaborative research that is the goal of this project will enable the unravelling of hidden research problems and capture more subtly Eastern Europe's specificities regarding 20th century violence.
