Our ability to adapt to climate change is not limitless. If we do not enhance the adaptive capacity of our societies, adaptation may no longer be an option. Culture is a decisive factor for the ability of communities to transform and adapt. Any substantial and sustainable adaptation requires societal and cultural transformation towards a more ecologically balanced and socially integrated, fair society.
