Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is developinga leading position in the field of Earth System Sciences. FAU isalready strong in numerous sub-disciplines of earth, life andgeosciences, but aims to enhance its relevance by (i) bringingtogether the different threads of earth system sciences and (ii)expanding "big data" competencies and interdisciplinary modelingaspects.
