The project aims to create a "translation code" between historical and geoscientific research questions, archives, methods and findings. In an interdisciplinary collaboration, the project relates empirical data from history and geomorphology from the Middle Ages to the present in a common database so that they can be interpreted by the other discipline, thereby generating transdisciplinary knowledge about human-environmental interactions.
