Zusammenfassung
Glass-fiber reinforced plastics (GFRP) generate hazardous, complex-structured waste that currently cannot be recycled. GFRP is either landfilled, used as filler, as fuel in power plants or for cement production, ultimately leading to soil contamination, high CO2 emissions and other toxic pollution. The project team aims at an emission-free and residue-free recycling process for GFRP using a steam thermal plasma in an allothermal gasification process.
