Nowadays, there is an enormous variety of magnets that differ significantly in their geometry, performance specifications and alloy composition depending on the application and manufacturer. Direct reuse of Nd-Fe-B based magnets from old electrical appliances would be technically possible, but due to a lack of standardization of the magnets, this is not implemented in practice.
