Neurodegeneration in childhood comprise a heterogeneous group ofdiseases that result from specific genetic and biochemical defects,chronic infections or inflammatory processes. The treatment ofneurodegenerative relies on the delivery of drugs to the brainparenchyma and it is constrained by the presence of the Blood-BrainBarrier (BBB) and the Brain-Cerebrospinal Fluid Barrier (BCSFB).
