Within this joint project between the department of Cell and Developmental Biology at Tel Aviv University and the department of Optical Nanoscopy at the Laser-Laboratorium Göttingen, the induced translocation of mitochondria and mitochondrial proteins to the plasma membrane is studied. This is done by using state of the art and as yet to be developed nanooptical techniques.
